A Drowning Cry

I used to want to fly
I'd jump with all my might
Reaching towards the roof
To leave this world behind
Framings in the dark
Held a broken light
Keeping in the fight
Struggling as I try

Where will I go
When I'm not around?
I fall without hope
I land with no sound
Head in your arms
I'm screaming out loud
Gasping for air as I fall through the ground
