Phoenix

The city sleeps beneath the rain
Its secrets hiding every pain
I walk alone through empty streets
With fire that no one else can beat
No guiding hand, no spoken word
No voice to help me be heard
Yet in the dark, a spark remains
It calls me on through storms and chains
I'm a lone phoenix
Rising through the night
Breaking all the silence
With wings of burning light
No shadow can contain my flame
I will not bend, I will not shame

I claim my sky
They said my fire would fade away
But embers grow where ashes lay
