In golden halls I walked with pride
Among the gods, by their side
A mortal king with wealth untold
But darkness made my heart grow cold
What secrets do they hide from me?
Can gods see all reality?
I forged a plan of cursed sin
To test what lies within

Waters flee from thirsting lips
Fruit that mocks my fingertips
Cursed to hunger, cursed to yearn
Never shall I return
Feast of the unfed
Price upon my head
Tartarus my home
Forever alone

The blade fell swift upon my son
The deed of darkness had begun
I carved the flesh, I made the stew
To serve the gods what they never knew
But wisdom sees through every lie
Divine eyes pierce the mortal sky
All turned away except for one
What have I done?
