Never a day goes by where I don’t wonder,
What the passage of time has in store for mankind.
Never a day goes by where I don’t ponder,
Some event from the past that should be left behind.

These thoughts they seem so trite and trivial,
Compared with the many dilemmas at hand.
Don’t let life pass you by like a shadow unnoticed,
Til the day when the emptiness finally sets in.

It’s never too late to grab hold of the present,
And convert it to a time to be remembered with pride.
The present surroundings offer numerous options.
All one needs to do, is take a stand and decide.

To prepare the way for our children’s future.
Provide for them a better way of life.
They deserve to receive at least what we’ve had.
But more so the freedom from corruption and strife.

Time will reveal the truth of the matter.
Time will distinguish the truth from the lies.
Time will reward the ones who show mercy.
Time will avenge those who don’t even try.
