Voice Of The Tempest

I was born in the mountains where the earth courts the wind
The clouds standing sentry o'er all of my kin
Poor mother left me and my father alone
She left me to lead them when I am grown

I make like the wind, and I travel the earth
One day to return to the place of my birth
Return as a master of water and flame
The valleys to know me, and the wind speak my name

The colors of Autumn cascade down his back
I've such little time to attain what I lack
The courage and grace that's required of me
How grand, these illusions of what I can be

For I am young
I am weak
I am unworthy of the faith they place in me
Voice as meek and frail
As a zephyr

I've seen through the eyes of the wolf and the lark
I've faced mighty dragons and friends of the dark
I've conquered the trials of earth, fire, and sea
And yet I am blind to the woman they see

They tell me I'm worthy, they tell me I'm strong
In spite of my failings, they keep me along
They sing me my praises and swear that they're true
And say that they'll sing them 'til I learn the tune

So I'll be bold
I'll be strong
I'll be the leader my home can rely upon
Help me find my voice
Oh tempest

I am the waters, and I am the flame
I am the thunder, and I am the rain
Heed me, oh forest, and heed me, oh plains
Heed my call
Fear is a river, but I'm in control
Doubt is a current that ebbs and flows
Fierce as the hail and as gentle as snow
