I am not doing nearly enough through the day
To make this.. a better place .. for humans to stay in

I wake up in the morning and kiss Joan hello
And pretty soon.. I’ll trade her in.. and strap on my guitar and sing
Not doing nearly enough

Unless some words flow
That means something.. to help somebody
Unless they do that.. I’m close to doing nothing at all

I liked me better the way I did it in early summer
Bringing poor folks, some food .. and stuff they needed

If you do something for someone right now
