Fly On The Wall

Our species, once so nimble and light
Seemed ready to learn to fly
We chose instead to toil the earth
And reap the bounties not found in the sky
We grew heavy and slow
And we multiplied
Covered the earth with endless supplies of stuff
To feed on and make life more fun
Simply because we forgot how to fly
