Dismal Liturgies

Their souls belong to me
I tore down their king
Now wear his broken crown and sing hymns to the void

The wretched is me
Excavating their dread

Through hope I lured them
Toxins lace my words
Hear the forked tongue choirs

The flames begin to ignite
Hordes flow through the white gates
Disciples drop to their knees
Converting those who surrender their faith
Blood flows through the white palace
Despondency will flood my conscience
Adversary - he journeys through their minds

Shrouded in embers I hunt down the cherubs who wish to protect the pillars of reverence
With rusted void spears they implode in disgrace
Singing dismal liturgies, only I listen

When it all ends, this is what you will hear

Utopia will burn
Black smoke marks my return 

Dragging him from his throne room
Watch your kingdom conquered
And face the trials of scorn from those who laid down their weapons for me

Witness me feast on your broken saviour
Devouring your god
In the final moments he will sing my dismal liturgies
