Body aches and sleepless nights
Bills piled up to the sky
Got kids that go to school
Needs food, needs shoes and a better life
Another day of clockin' in
Overworked overtime again
Life's hard, it don't make sense

She wakes up
Thanks the good Lord for her blessings
Her gray hair from her stressing
Never brings her down
She stays strong, carries on

Check to check she works 'til dawn
Rents behind but the lights are on
Works six days she don't complain
How she leaves the kids at home
Dads been gone for seven years
