I was driving down I-35 one Friday night
When I happened to get pulled over for busted taillight
Got out my license and my registration
Just hoping I didn't get a citation
That's when that Highway Patrol said "Son, where were you born?"

I could see that highway patrol didn't know what to say
So he just handed me back my license, smiled, and walked away
