Nain

Through the gates of Nain He walked one day
Crowds around Him, hope in their sway
But before Him, sorrow filled the air
A grieving mother, her son laid bare
Her only child, her heart's last song
Her world now shattered, the days felt wrong
But Jesus saw her, tears in her eyes
And His compassion could not be disguised

He touched the bier, and the weeping ceased
Death had to bow to the Prince of Peace
"Arise, young man," the Savior spoke
And life returned, deaths chains broke

The bearers halted, the crowd stood still
As heaven's power bent to His will
No great display, no thunder's roar
Just love and mercy, forevermore
The young man sat up, his breath anew
His mother's joy, her faith grew too
And whispers spread of this Nazarene
The prophet sent, God's glory seen
