17-The Flow

䷐ 17-隨卦【澤雷隨】

隨，元亨利貞，无咎。
初九，官有渝，貞吉。出門交有功。
六二，係小子，失丈夫。
六三，係丈夫，失小子。隨有求得，利居貞。
九四，隨有獲，貞凶。有孚，在道以明，何咎？
九五，孚于嘉，吉。
上六，拘係之，乃從維之，王用亨于西山。

《彖傳》：隨，剛來而下柔，動而說，隨。
大亨貞，无咎，而天下隨時，隨時之義大矣哉。

《象傳》：澤中有雷，隨。君子以嚮晦入宴息。

《繫辭》：「服牛乘馬，引重致遠，以利天下，蓋取諸隨。」

《序卦傳》：豫必有隨，故受之以隨。

《雜卦傳》：隨，无故也。

Hexagram 17-The flow【Lake Over Thunder】

The flow, great prosperity, smooth progress, correct and without blame

Line１：There is a change in the official situation, correct and auspicious. Going out to meet others, there is merit
Line 2：Attaching to a young man, losing the husband
Line 3：Attaching to the husband, losing the young man. Attaching with a request, there is gain, it is advantageous to dwell in correctness
Line 4：Attaching with a gain, correct but dangerous. With trust, on the way to clarify, what blame?
Line 5：Trust in the good, auspicious
Line 6：Restrained and tied, then followed and maintained, the king uses a grand feast on the Western Mountain

《The Judgment》：The flow, the strong comes and is below the soft, moving and joyful, Sui. Great prosperity and correctness, without blame, and the world follows the time, the significance of following the time is great indeed

《The Image》：There is thunder in the lake, Sui. The superior man, when it is dark, enters to rest and eat

《The Appended Phrases》：Harnessing oxen and riding horses, to pull heavy loads and to reach far, to benefit the world, this is taken from the flow

《The Sequence of the Hexagrams》：Joy must be followed, hence it is followed by Sui

《The Mixed Hexagrams》：The flow, to follow, is without reason
