27-Nourishment

䷚ 27-頤卦【山雷頤】

頤，貞吉，觀頤，自求口實。

初九，舍爾靈龜，觀我朵頤，凶。
六二，顛頤，拂經。于丘頤，征凶。
六三，拂頤，貞凶。十年勿用，无攸利。
六四，顛頤，吉，虎視眈眈，其欲逐逐，无咎。
六五，拂經，居貞吉，不可涉大川。
上九，由頤，厲吉，利涉大川。

《彖傳》：頤，貞吉，養正則吉也。觀頤，觀其所養也；自求口實，觀其自養也。天地養萬物，聖人養賢以及萬民，頤之時大矣哉。

《象傳》：山下有雷，頤，君子以慎言語，節飲食。

《序卦傳》：物畜然後可養，故受之以頤。頤者養也。

《雜卦傳》：頤，養正也。

Hexagram 27-Nourishment(Yi)【Mountain Thunder Yi】

Yi, correct and firm, good fortune. Observe the nourishment, seek sustenance for oneself

Line１：Abandon your spiritual tortoise, observe my bloated cheeks, danger
Line 2：Overturning nourishment, contrary to the norm. At the mound of nourishment, to go forward is danger
Line 3：Contrary to nourishment, correct and firm, danger. For ten years do not use, there is no advantage
Line 4：Overturning nourishment, good fortune. Like a tiger staring intently, its desires are insatiable, no blame
Line 5：Contrary to the norm, dwelling correct and firm, good fortune, do not cross great rivers
Line 6：Following nourishment, danger, good fortune, favorable to cross great rivers

《The Judgment》：Yi, correct and firm, good fortune, nourishing the correct brings good fortune. Observe the nourishment, observe what is being nourished; seek sustenance for oneself, observe one's own nourishment. Heaven and earth nourish all things, the sage nourishes the worthy and extends to the common people, the time of Yi is great indeed

《The Image》：Thunder below the mountain, Yi. The superior man, by this, is cautious in speech and moderate in diet

《The Sequence of the Hexagrams》：After accumulation comes nourishment, hence it is followed by Yi. Yi means to nourish
