33-Retreat

䷠ 33-遯卦【天山遯】

遯亨，小利貞。

初六，遯尾，厲。勿用有攸往。
六二，執之用黃牛之革，莫之勝說。
九三，係遯，有疾厲，畜臣妾吉。
九四，好遯，君子吉，小人否。
九五，嘉遯，貞吉。
上九，肥遯，无不利。

《彖傳》：遯亨，遯而亨也。剛當位而應，與時行也。小利貞，浸而長也。遯之時義大矣哉。

《象傳》：天下有山，遯。君子以遠小人，不惡而嚴。

《序卦傳》：物不可以久居其所，故受之以遯。遯者，退也。

《雜卦傳》：遯則退也。

Hexagram 33-Retreat(Tun)【Heaven Mountain Tun】

Tun is favorable, with minor benefits to be correct and firm

Line１：The tail in retreat, danger. Do not use to go forward
Line 2：Bound with the hide of a yellow ox, no one can loosen it
Line 3：The tied retreat, illness and danger, keeping servants and concubines is good fortune
Line 4：The pleasant retreat, for the superior man good fortune, for the petty man not
Line 5：The commendable retreat, correct and firm, good fortune
Line 6：The generous retreat, no disadvantage

《The Judgment》：Tun is favorable, to retreat and be favorable. The strong is in the proper place and responds, moving with the times. Minor benefits to be correct and firm, gradually growing. The significance of the time of retreat is great indeed

《The Image》：A mountain in the sky, Tun. The superior man, by this, keeps away from petty men, without hatred but with dignity

《The Sequence of the Hexagrams》：Things cannot long remain in their place, hence it is followed by Tun. Tun means to retreat
