38-Alienation

䷥ 38-睽卦【火澤睽】

睽，小事吉。

初九，悔亡，喪馬勿逐，自復。見惡人，无咎。
九二，遇主于巷，无咎。
六三，見輿曳，其牛掣，其人天且劓，无初有終。
九四，睽孤，遇元夫。交孚，厲无咎。
六五，悔亡。厥宗噬膚，往何咎。
上九，睽孤，見豕負塗，載鬼一車，先張之弧，後說之弧，匪寇婚媾。往，遇雨則吉。

《彖傳》：睽，火動而上，澤動而下，二女同居，其志不同行。
說而麗乎明，柔進而上行，得中而應乎剛，是以小事吉。
天地睽而其事同也，男女睽而其志通也，萬物睽而其事類也，睽之時用大矣哉。

《象傳》：上火下澤，睽，君子以同而異。

《序卦傳》：家道窮必乖，故受之以睽。睽者，乖也。

《雜卦傳》：睽，外也。

Hexagram 38:-Alienation(K'uei)【Fire Lake K'uei】

K'uei, in small matters good fortune

Line１：No regret, a lost horse, do not pursue it, it will return by itself. Seeing a bad man, no blame
Line 2：Meeting a master in the alley, no blame
Line 3：Seeing a cart being dragged, its ox held back, the man is tall and has had his nose cut off, at the beginning there is no end
Line 4：K'uei in solitude, meeting a great man. Mutual trust, danger, no blame
Line 5：No regret. His clan bites the skin, going forward, what blame?
Line 6：K'uei in solitude, seeing a pig covered with mud, a cart loaded with ghosts, first drawing the bow, then releasing the bow, not a robber but a marriage proposal. Going forward, meeting rain is good fortune

《The Judgment》：K'uei, fire moves upward, the lake moves downward, two women live together, their intentions are not the same. Pleasure and attaching to brightness, the soft advances and moves upward, obtaining the center and responding to the strong, thus in small matters good fortune. Heaven and earth are apart but their affairs are the same, men and women are apart but their intentions are connected, all things are apart but their affairs are similar, the use of K'uei is indeed great

《The Image》：Fire above and lake below, K'uei. The superior man, by this, unites what is different

《The Sequence of the Hexagrams》：When the family way is exhausted, there must be discord, hence it is followed by K'uei. K'uei means discord

《The Mixed Hexagrams》：K'uei, the outside
