47-Adversity

䷮ 47-困卦【澤水困】

困，亨，貞大人吉，无咎。有言不信。

初六，臀困于株木，入于幽谷，三歲不覿。
九二，困于酒食，朱紱方來，利用享祀，征凶，无咎。
六三，困于石，據于蒺蔾，入于其宮，不見其妻，凶。
九四，來徐徐，困于金車。吝，有終。
九五，劓刖，困于赤紱，乃徐有說。利用祭祀。
上六，困于葛藟，于臲卼，曰動悔有悔，征吉。

《彖傳》：困，剛揜也。險以說，困而不失其所亨，其唯君子乎。
貞大人吉，以剛中也；有言不信，尚口乃窮也。

《象傳》：澤无水，困。君子以致命遂志。

《序卦傳》：升而不已必困，故受之以困。

《雜卦傳》：困相遇也。

Hexagram 47-Adversity(K'un)【Lake Water K'un】

K'un, favorable, correct and firm, the great person is good fortune, no blame. Words are not trusted

Line１：The buttocks are stuck on a stump, entering into a dark valley, for three years one does not see
Line 2：Stuck in wine and food, the red sash is just coming, advantageous to offer sacrifices, to go forward is danger, no blame
Line 3：Stuck on a rock, relying on thorns, entering into his palace, not seeing his wife, danger
Line 4：Coming slowly, stuck in a metal cart. Regret, but there is an end
Line 5：Nose and feet cut off, stuck in the red sash, then slowly there is an explanation. Advantageous to offer sacrifices
Line 6：Stuck in vines, in a precarious situation, it is said that moving brings regret, going forward is good fortune

《The Judgment》：K'un, the strong is covered. Danger and pleasure, stuck but not losing the place of favor, is it not the superior man? Correct and firm, the great person is good fortune, because of the strong in the center; words are not trusted, to value the mouth is to be exhausted

《The Image》：A lake without water, K'un. The superior man, by this, commits himself to the end to fulfill his will

《The Sequence of the Hexagrams》：If one rises and does not stop, there must be difficulty, hence it is followed by K'un
