Why do these thoughts consume me
When I try to go to sleep
It's been killing my ego
Watching people I love go
I've been trying to save face
But the problem is we know
I can't get back to where I was
I gotta move forward
We spent too much time in our heads just to be normal
But it shouldn't be horrible
We can break from that habit
We don't need to live lavish
We just want to establish
Ourselves to reach status
Not just to be average
Most tend to be saddened
Chance came we didn't grab it

The dream I once envisioned
Every day I see the signs
