3:16"The Thrill" is the anthem for my nights out All of my friends, uh, we all happen to be a bit of trouble And I definitely, I'm a lot of trouble The song is pretty much an ode to that feeling of knowing that In the coming hours, in the hours ahead There's something special that lies, you know, in the danger, the spontaneity And, I think this song was really much Very much based on my Lower Eastside moments this summer And it sounds like that, it sounds scuzzy, and It sounds fun, it's driving, you know It's very anthem-y, it just Feels like that moment at the bar when That song comes on and everyone is drunk And we're all singing the same song together, ready for that next moment Ready for that next move, you know Life is all about the thrill and that's why I wrote this song I wanted it to be that song that people sing, you know In their cars on the way to whatever party or whatever beach Or, uh, getting to that next place that You know something really special and memorable could happen We make some bad decisions the one that we never forget The ones that stick out like a sore thumb in our minds, you know Like, it's supposed to be the sound of, of those moments
