Let My People Go - Passover Song

Long ago, an evil Egyptian pharaoh
Held the Hebrew people in slavery, so
The Most High sent Moses to tell him
“Let My People Go,” But the Pharaoh said, "NO".

Yes, Moses said, “Let My People GO! GO! GO!"
But the Pharaoh said, "NO! NO! NO!"

Moses warned him that plagues would come in waves
If He did not free the Hebrew slaves
First came blood, frogs, gnats and flies,
Then livestock, boils, hail, locusts, and dark skies.

Moses said, “Let My People GO! GO! GO!"
But the Pharaoh said, "NO! NO! NO!"

When pharaoh still refused to set the Hebrews free
Came the death of the firstborn of each family
But death “Passed Over” and saved all those
Who put the the blood of the LAMB on their doorposts

Moses said, “Let My People GO! GO! GO!"
But the Pharaoh said, "NO! NO! NO!"

After the death of His son, the pharaoh
Finally said “yes” and let the Hebrews go
So… that is the reason
We celebrate Passover this season

Moses said, “Let My People GO! GO! GO!"
