In The Eyes Of Jesus

I looked inside and felt so small
Wounds too deep, I built a wall
But then He came, so full of grace
And healed it all with just His gaze

He sat with me, no rush, no shame
He whispered softly, called my name
He saw the dark, the pain I hid
And still He stayed, He never quit

So many times I tried to run
From who I was, from what I'd done
But Jesus pulled me close and said
"My child, you're not alone."

In the eyes of Jesus, I saw who I am
Loved, redeemed, held by His hand
Every broken piece began to shine
He called me His, and now I'm fine
With Him, with Him
In the eyes of Jesus, I came alive

The voices that once held me down
Have lost their weight, lost their sound
His truth is louder than my past
His mercy speaks, and it will last
