Roxette
2:57We are in the Abbey Road studios The fourth song you recorded there, back in 1995 You Don't Understand Me "You Don't Understand Me" is a song I wrote together with An American guy called Desmond Child Who has written so many wonderful songs over the years Lot of hits for Bon Jovi and Alice Cooper and Cher and He was like one of the main songwriters in the '90s We played, or I played you don't understand me for Marie 'Cause she was in town and she said "Oh, this is wonderful, I want to sing this" And so she sang on the demo And when, as soon as we done the demo with her We knew that, shit, this is going to be a Roxette song It has to be a Roxette song She was singing it so beautifully We recorded it for the compilation album "Don't Bore Us, Get To The Chorus" And that album came out at the time when we were in London at Abbey Road So we decided to do, just a piano version of "You Don't Understand Me" So it's Clarence Öfwerman, our producer, who's playing the piano And Marie singing So I was just um, sitting in the, by the mixing console and enjoying everything Enjoying life Eh, beau-, very beautiful, beautiful song and Marie is amazing And Clearance is playing beautiful piano as well
