Why do I hold back the raging flood?
Hinder a force so unrelenting
I've built a wall out of repressed emotions
The river must flow

I was grasping on until my hands were broken

I got stuck too deep within distorted notions

Break out from the grey
Inhale and dive into the stream

Anywhere that it takes thee

The barrier's breaking, it's overdue
For so long I've tried to constrain the current
This depleted state must be renewed

I had craved so much but all was left unspoken
Self-deceit and shame go hand in hand
I was hanging on to keep this door unopened
But now I know it's time to yield
