Scapegoat

Although I followed the rules,  
I became a scapegoat 
An artificial paradise surrounded by a fake protection 
The promise to never go away 
Unknown dangers, waiting in the shadows  
Traumatic warnings 
Inside from the start 
Guilty of obedience 

Scapegoat 
the danger never came from the outside 
Now I stand as an example to all who follow the rules 
The mourning of the ideal 
The distant calls were not threats 
Just bursts of survival 

A deaf ear and total trust betrayed me 
My infinite credulity 

For this lesson so painfully learned 
Open my veins wide to the distress of the world 
Goodbye 
May it infiltrate, bite and digest me 
I'm just the scapegoat of her promises  
The one who was supposed to be my guide  
She wanted me to be hers only, her personal slave 

Hiding the whole world in a dollhouse 
Playing by the book never works
