Not Political

Hey there's something you should know
Human rights are not political
If you think some don't deserve them
Then you are an icky person
But you still deserve rights
Sometimes when I read a comment
It makes me feel like I could vomit
It's not politics we disagree on
If you think all immigrants should be gone
But you blame it all on race, don't you?
Guess that's easier to do
Than looking at the bigger scene
Or questioning the whole machine!
It's not political to think genocide's unethical
Not controversial, just basic and sensible
Don't need a bible to know what's right
Basic human rights keep me up at night
They come for them, then come for you
That is just what fascists do
If you can't see the warning signs
That ignorance must feel divine
If you don't know what fascist means
Please go do some googling
Leave it to the states? (Too big!)
Leave it to the towns? (Too big!)
Leave it to the block? (Too Big)
Leave it to each house? (Too Big)
Lets give rights the ultimate dispersion
by leaving choices to each person
It's not political to think genocide's unethical
Not controversial, just basic and sensible
Don't need a bible to know what's right
Basic human rights keep me up at night
Not political (No!)
Just ethical (Yeah!)
Not debatable (Never!)
Just sensible (Forever!)
