I open my eyes to a life that feels borrowed,
Nothing fits right, not the bed, not tomorrow.
Tired eyes trace lines on the ceiling,
I’ve been here before, but I swear it’s a different time.

I laugh, I nod, but never listen,
I’m just swimming through the steam.

I lose myself a little every day,
Piece by piece, I give myself away.

Used to paint the world with open color,
